As winter - the worst time of the year for asthma attacks - approaches, a Jackson Heights neighborhood health care facility is stepping up a campaign to protect local children from the potentially deadly disease.
The Jackson Heights Health Center, an affiliate of New York Hospital Queens, began administering free asthma evaluations and flu shots to children on Monday and will do so on selected days through next Wednesday. The center is at 73-15 Northern Blvd....
